Mich’s Dishes – Recipe for Creamy Mussel Pot

Michelle from Robberg prepared her delicious Creamy Mussel Pot for us recently. All the ingredients and the method are shown below, or you can follow along while you watch the video. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS
- 2 TBS butter
- 1TBS olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tsp fresh garlic
- ½ tsp chilli flakes (optional)
- 1 cup dry wine
- 250ml fresh cream
- 800g ½ shell mussels (frozen)
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 lemon, juice & zest
- ½ cup chopped parsley

Creamy Mussel Pot ingredients
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a pan/wok melt the butter & olive oil.
- Sauté onions and garlic.
- Add 1 cup wine and reduce.
- Stir in cream and let thicken.
- Add the mussels, mix with cream.
- Add salt & pepper, lemon juice and zest, and the parsley.
- Cook for 5min.
- Garnish with extra parsley, serve with crusty bread.
